Portugal decriminalized ALL
drugs in 2001. Note Portugal did not
legalize all drugs. Fines and treatment programs replaced criminal records and
incarceration Fast-forward to 2017
when the number of drug induced deaths per million population between ages
15-64 is 6 in Portugal. Comparably, the
same statistic in the USA is 185.more than 30 times
the rate in Portugal. So much for
America’s “War on Drugs” …
